  1. Ring worm.
    The ashes of burnt wheaten straw mixed with butter and soot was used for curing ring worm.
    Cough.
    One lb. flaxseed, 1 lb. brown sugar, 1 stick licquorice, juice of two lemons boiled, strained, and mixed.
    Scalds and burns.
    Equal parts of fresh lime water and linseed oil make an excellent cure for scalds or burns. It is called Carron oil.
    Erysipelas.
    Cream blessed is a cure for Erysipelas. The cream is taken from the crocks and blessed by a person who received the cure from her aunt. It is at present in the possession of Mrs. Donnolly, Commons, Lusk.
    Cure for felon. Wild Celery, Bog-Bean, Brownswort, Robin run the hedge
