of the playground and to see who will be back at the same place first.
Jumping is another game carried on greatly in Summer by the boys at School. We get a long rope and tie one end of it to the wall and some holds the other end in his hand and to see who can jump the highest. We have lower jumps for the smaller boys. Marbles are played at school also. The way that we play them is we put a small hole in the ground and set a marble straight for the hole and hit it with another marble, and if you put it into the hole that is a goal. We have a fixed day for spinning tops at school and that is Monday.
Some one person puts his top on the ground. The others stand round it in a ring and throw their tops at the one in the centre to try to split it, and if it is broken he cannot say anything as it is only the game.
