    into the "Big hand" or front part of the plough.
    The "cooter" is a piece of iron which reaches from the "Big Hand" down to the sock and about an inch in front of it. It goes into the ground and cuts the sod.
    The "sock" is the lowest part of the plough cutting through the earth. The iron which throws back the sod is the "Mould-Board" and the "Foot-tree" which is five feet in length and at each end of this "Foot-tree" the "Swingle-trees" are connected.
    From each end of the Swingle-trees the "Tug-chains" stretch and are linked with the "hems" which are round the collar and with this out-fit the ground is plough.
