    In the home I left behind.
    IV
    As I left old Ireland
    I viewed those hills once more
    And then I parted with my friends
    At the crossroads of Barnesmore;
    And as I looked upon those hills
    Many thoughts ran through my mind;
    But the saddest one among them all
    Was of the boy I left behind.
    V
    Well then we got along,
    Until we came to Queenstown Quay
    Where I was seated as a passenger
    Bound for America,
    To cross the wide Atlantic
    Unto some foreign clime.
    I bade adieu to Ireland
    And the home I left behind.
