Ar an leathanach seo

  1. In olden times the people used to believe in witches, fairies, banshees, ghosts and mermaids.
    In olden times when the butter would not come on the milk when they were churning they said that it was witch blinked. If they got the witch or what they thought was the witch they burned her.
    The people in the country still believe in these things to-day. When there is anybody sick and if they hear a banshee howling it is a sign that the person is going to die. After the person is buried the ghost is supposed to come back to the room where he died.
    If there were any bad people in the house and they died that house was haunted.
    Witches and fairies have the power of changing them into anything they like.
    Down at Baslinn Lord Leitrim was murdered and since that his ghost is supposed to be seen after night at that place.
