“Once upon a time the King of the Devils in hell sent out three devils, one to Ireland, one to England and one to Scotland.”

"Throw him in there, and he will not feel the pain" said the King. He threw him in and up jumped the hound and bit the noses off all the devils, and brought them with him, and then they said they would never let an Irishman into hell again.
