Long ago the people used to eat oatmeal bread. There were five or six mills around this place for grounding oats Martin Glacken's father had a mill in Carracrum. Peter Sweeny had a mill in Ellamore and Jack Drogan in Attymass. There was another one in the village of Bonniconlon. All these mills are knocked down but Brogans and the one in Bonniconlon.
