    The people of this village are very superstitious, they are surrounded on all sides by bog, they speak of night-lights on the bogs and weird cries; a natural explanation of this, is not accepted by them.

  2. There was a corn mill in Martin Duffy's land, Millrace still left. A pedlar is said to have been murdered there. Finn was the owner of this mill. He later built a house in Charlestown, the house now being owned by Weevers.
