  1. The food eaten long ago is not at all like the food eaten now. In some district potatoes were eaten at every meal. Long ago people would kill their own pigs and would have their own bacon. Cabbage was very often eaten long ago. The tables long ago were mostly against the wall. Home made bread was made in nearly every home long ago.
