    The Famine began in 1845.it was caused by a failure of the potato crop.The poor people were starving with the hunger.Thousands died of sickness and starvation.Raw turnips and sea-weed were their cheef food.The next year 1846-7 was far more terrible than the last .Roads and towns were full with dead and dying.Many
