- We have St. Stephen's day always on the day after Christmas day. It is called the wren-boy's day. A crowd of young boys dress up in old clothes and go around from house to house. When they reach the house they go in and dance and one of them has a box, in which they hold the money they get. When they have gone around to all the houses they share the money they have got equally amongst themselves. This day is kept in honour of St Stephen and they say this rhyme."The wren, the wren the king(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
