  1. Up to a few years ago there was an old man who used to come around Ardnacrusha composing poems.
    His name was Tom McMahon. He was born in Galway and he was eighty four years of age. He died in Limerick.
    He got the gift of poetry from his parents, and he was very good in making up poetry and songs.
    Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
