  1. There is a fairy fort near where I live in Shanakyle. It is round in shape and covered with trees and white thorn bushes. It is supposed to have been made by the Danes and they are said to be buried under it. Sometimes at night very sweet music is heard coming from this fort by people who live near it. The man that owns this fort would not cut a branch off any of the trees that grows in it or remove a stone or earth from it as old people say great misfortune falls on anyone that interfere with anything in a fort.
    There is a fairy fort in Cappavilla. In olden times an old woman used to live there. It was haunted at that time and is still haunted. Very sweet music was often heard there late at night. Big dogs are often seen there and lights are also seen there. Old people say that the woman that lived in that fort was mad and she was often seen sitting on the wall that surrounds the fort.
