  1. In olden times before motors were made in the surroundings of Killisken it was
    acustom for rich people going to the chapel to be married to go on horseback. The husband and wife on the first horse and their friend on the next four. It was usually five horses, because the older people said there was luck in odd numbers. It was also a custom when people come home from the chapel to give the horses a great feed of oats.
