It was considered unlucky for the bride to look at herself in the glass when she was dressed & ready to go to the church.
The wedding feast was always held in bride's house. People got married out in the day & then went to bride's house. The feast continued till the following morning. At about 3 or 4 o'clock the bride & bridegroom would leave for his home. The general company would remain till 6 or 7 o'clock.
when a girl was getting married she always borrowed some wearable. The rhyme says:-
    Something old, something new,
    Something borrowed, something blue.
