- (continued from previous page)way, he'd turn another "bunyah" ___ about 4 in a hamper for strength. Between the bunyahs he worked with single rods. When the hamper was deep enough the uprights were bent over & driven down on opposite side & he continued to plait with single rods.
- The oldest remembered forge in Meelick was in Ball's Farm, at the spot now occupied by John Sullivan's labourer's cottage. The old people used to call the spot Meelick Gate, whatever was the association. The forge was run by a family called(continues on next page)
