  1. I live in the townland of Ladunigan in the parish of Knockbride and in the barony of Clonkee. There are eleven houses in this townland. Six of the houses are slated and the others are thatched. There are forty-six people this townland. Five of them are over seventy and I never heard any of them tell stories. Two families are named Lynch, two named McCabe, two named Carolan and two named Traynor. One of the Trainors has a step daughter named Tully living with him.
There is one family named Plunkett, Cooney and Clarke living in Ladunigan. The land is hilly and boggy and it is fairly good. The crops are good especially in wet seasons.
