    clay inside. The crow and the magpie build their nests of sticks. The wren builds a round nest of moss and feathers inside. The blackbird lays a big blue egg speckled with brown dots. The robin lays a little white egg. Swallows lay blue eggs.
    Whoever robs a birds nest will never be liked by God.
    If the robin sits under a bush there will be storm. If the birds fly close to the ground there will be storm. If the seagull lights on the land there will be rain.
    When our saviour had the crown of thorns on his head the robin saw him. He tried to pull the thorns out of our Saviours head and drops of blood fell from our Savours head. It fell on the breast of the robin and that is why it has a red breast. The wild pigeons used to light on Saint Brigid's shoulders and eat food from her hands.
