    Burn: - When you get a burn rub ink on it and it will take away the pain.
    Burn: - When you get a burn rub soda on it and it will be better in an hour.
    Stye in Eye: - If you have a stye in your eye get a thorn of the gooseberry bush and prick it with the thorn.
    Chilblains: - Get two basins of water one of cold and the other with boiling water, put your feet in the boiling water for five minutes and take them out and put them in the cold water for five minutes. Take them out and dry them. They will be better that night.
    Hiccup: - If you have a hiccup take a pinch of salt.
    Sore feet: - If you have sore feet put a handful of salt in the basin when you are washing them.
    Hacks: - If you have hacks get a piece of cobblers wax and melt it and put it on the hacks when warm.
    Cold: - Before you go to bed take buttermilk with sugar and it warmed and it will cure you.
    Pain in the Stomach: - If you have a pain in your stomach take bread soda in hot water.
    Bleeding of nose: - If your nose is bleeding hold a cold stone at the back of your neck.
