    and back they got two rather big pieces of stuff about nine inches in length and and four inches in width or nine inches in length and eight inches in width.
    The put both pieces together or doubled the one eight inches in width. They they cut it out to the size they wanted it leaving the end and sleeves unsewn. Then they sewed the legs into the end. For arms they cut out pieces of cloth four inches in length and sewed them up. No hands were used in rag dolls as they were too difficult to make. Both arms were made the same way and then sewed on to the body.
    The head was very difficult as two pieces of stuff of different colour were used.
