  1. In the townland of Curraghmore there is at a place called "Lurgan Lodge" a holy well called "St. Patricks Well". The well is situated along the road. It is not round in shape but more like a box and it is in a rock with a great big flagsone over it and shamrocks growing on it. It is in a lonely spot and it is said Saint Patrick baptized there and a drink out of it would be good.
In the lower end of Virginia park and about half a mile from Virginia Lake there is one of St. Patricks Wells. it is beside a stream with a plank going across to it. It is said St. Patrick also baptised there and people use the water and keep the well in order.
