“There are Fairy Forts in the district one in Claudia, one in Carnin, one in Ramonan, and one in Derrylea.”
There are Fairy Forts in the district one in Claudia, on in Carnin, one in Ramonan, and one in Derrylea. They are all circular. They are surrounded by trees and shrubs. There is no entrance hole in any of them, but in the moat of Castlerahan, there is an entrance hole into a cave and there are steps going down to it.
Nobody has ever explored it but people say there is gold down in the cave. To get this gold you would have to get three crocks of bullock's blood and put one between Castlerahan and Kildorough and the other about quarter of a mile away from the cave, and the other at the mouth of the cave. In the first you put salt, and put nothing in the second, and put salt in the third.
It is supposed that it a hound that it is a greyhound that is guarding this gold and when he smells the blood he weill come out and drink it, and he will be so thirsty that he will go into the river between Kildorough and Castlerahan and drink there until he bursts.
