    The mountains grand of Switzerland,
    So stately and so high.
    The Dublin heights of true delights,
    And the Alpine ranges gay,
    But for beauty rare none can compare,
    With the dear old Loughanlea.
    Those mountains tall may well enthrall,
    Neath skies of azure blue
    But with all combined you cannot find
    So grand or fine a view.
    So rich and rare in the clear pure air
    Of a sunlit summer's day.
