    Travellers still visit our district. They are not very poor. The best known of the travelling folk are the McDonaghs.
    They go from house to house selling gallons and porringers and some of them sharpen knives.
    The travelling folk travel in caravans and some of them go in carts. They live in the caravans. They stay in each village for about a week. They travel mostly in bands. The gipsies take no charity they sell the things they make.
    On a fair day there is many bands of gipsies to be seen. They do not tell stories. Some of them will not take pennies unless
