- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)came back to the fort but there was nothing to be seen.
- The largest fort I have ever seen is a very picturesque one in my father's farm in Lislea. It is about ten yards in diameter. Gnarled bushes covered with ivy rise from the sunken ramparts about it. There are many gaps in this rampart and it would be difficult to say where the original entrance was. There is no sign of an inside circle or ditch marking the inside dwelling or drain.Strange stories are told about this landmark. It is said that a copper kettle-ful of sovereigns is buried in it. A brilliant light has been seen there also. Old people say that wishes made at certain times in this fort are granted. A man named Mulvanny, who is now dead, found the price of one ounce of tobacco (fourpence) in it after wishing for it the previous day whilst digging potatoes there.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
