Long ago there lived a man in Gower named Ned Keogh. He lived beside Patrick McMahon. He was a very brave man by night. He was great for throwing weights and wrestling. He was not famous around here but he was famous in many parts of Clare. He carried on both occupations until his strength failed him. One day he was throwing the weight and he fell dead. His name was remembered for a long time afterwards.
