- Tullycoe is the name of my townland. It is the Parish of Annagelliffe, Barony of Upper Loughter. It is a small townland consisting of five families. There are twenty people living in it. There are five houses and five different families. There are three of them thatched and two slated. I don't know how it got its name but the meaning of it is the hill of the hounds. There is one old person living in it. They dont know Irish or cannot tell stories in Irish. They can tell them in English. The old person living in it is Mr Patrick Maguire, Tullyco Cavan.
The houses were more numerous in former times. Some of the people emigrated to America in bad times.(continues on next page)
