    weather the eggs are sprinkled with lukewarm water every few days. When they are ten days set they are tested. This is done with a lighted candle in the hen-house after dark. The egg is held length-ways between one finger and thumb and then the person looks through the egg. If it is clear it is infertile and if it is dark it is fertile.
