    On the following Sunday the bridesmaid and groomsman accompany the pair to mass. A party is then given in the bridegrooms house. The bride does not visit the parents' home until a month after the day of her marriage.
    Wedding Cake. A large home made sweet cake was made. On the bride's arrival after the ceremony the cake was held over her head by a woman relative and broke into two parts. They were afterwards cut up and handed around at the wedding feast. This custom I am informed has now been discontinued.
