1. How the Fox Rids Himself of Fleas

   The fox ties a piece of wool around his nose and he goes in and sits in a river. All the fleas goes into the wool then he throws the wool into the river and jumps out. All the fleas are them left in the river and the get drowned.

   There was a man and his wife and child living in a small house They lived very happily for many years until the woman died. In the same townland there was a woman and her daughter living near them. One day the man and woman were married and the four of them lived together for a long time. The woman was very kind to her own daughter but she was very cruel to her stepdaughter. Every morning her own daughter got wine to drink and milk to bathe in. And her stepdaughter got only water to drink and water to bathe in.
