    that he was going to give him three questions and he was to have the answers for him in a week's time. He told him if he had not the answers he would hang him. The three questions were, what was he thinking of? how many barrows of sand were in the big mountain?, and how many cwts were in the moon? The king's name was Moroccos and he was an English man and Sam was English also. After the king told the boy the questions, the boy went out to a pit by the side of the road and began to roar and bawl. After he was there a while at the pit, he saw a lad coming down the road behind him. When the lad came up to him he went over to him and asked him what was wrong with him. He told him what the king had said. This lad was an Irish lad. He asked Sam to tell him the three questions. So he told them to him and he said that that was alright. Paddy the Irishman told Sam to change clothes with him and so he did. Paddy went up to the king's door and he met the king coming out of the door. The king said "Well Sam, are you able to answer the
