- The Moate, KilmuckridgeNotes: J Carberry aged 70 years. Litterbeg, Kilmuckridge.This moate is an immense mound of earth, covering about an acre of ground. It is a very large lios, the largest I have ever seen or read about, and is situated in the townland of Kilmuckridge about 500 yds from the school.It is said to be over 60 ft in height and standing as it does on the apex of a hill, it commands a splendid view of the surrounding country.
