  1. About a hundred years ago there was a holy Well near Fairfield gate in Rathaspick. There were many people cured at this well.
    One day a beggar-woman came along and washed some clothes in it. She did not know that it was a Blessed Well. That night as two men were coming home, one of them named Pat Murphy, saw a light crossing the road.
    When they came nearer they saw that it was the Blessed Well going over into the field at the other side of the road. They next day they went to see where it was gone but they could never find it any more.
