    1. On the 11th March 1902, a terrific wind blew over South-East Ireland. A small schooner named the "Mary-Ellen", of 120 Tons. was blown from Wexford bay to the coast of Wicklow.

    11. In 1838, a great storm, called by the old men, the "Big Wind" was one of the greatest gales that ever blew over Wexford.
