  1. At the Cross of Barntown, there is a crock of gold. It is covered by a big stone flag. It is not known who owned it, because it has been there so long.
    One time before I was born two men tried to get the gold but something happened
    It is not known what, but whatever it was, they left on the mortal spot.
    Now there must have been a curse on the treasure, because not long after one of the men got a baby girl and lo! and behold! it had one ordinary hand and the other was a tiny fairy's hand and she could not use it, God bless the mark. It is said that this was the curse of the treasure because of her father's interfering with it.
