    Johnnie Kavanagh.
Johnnie Kavanagh lived near Piercestown. He used to sleep in the farmers' barns. He got sick one day when he was going by Silverspring and he lay down in the ditch. Mr. John Nunn of Silverspring was passing by Johnnie Kavanagh asked him to go for the priest for him. The priest lived in Bridgetown. Mr. Nunn asked Johnnie what would he say to the priest. "Tell him, I'm speechless" answered Johnnie
This Johnnie Kavanagh used to go around telling the people about "Old Death" and "Young Death". "Old Death" would always come first he said Then "Old Death" would go back and send the "Journey-man," and he'd give you a dart in the neck and then you were gone.
