  1. In the grounds of the Deer Park of Johnstown Castle, there is a Mass Rock. It is said that when a priest was saying mass there, the English soldiers came, and he flew and was killed under a bridge close by. It is believed that the marks of some drops of his blood still remain on the rocks under the bridge.
