- There is a chest of gold supposed to have been in Scurlogue under a bridge which lets the river run under the road. The treasure was supposed to have been hidden by Thomas Neville. Some one from Ambrosetown dreamed about the chest under the bridge. One night about twelve o clock a number of men from the district went to dig for the gold.
They brought holy water and a ball of woollen thread. They started to dig and one or two of them was shaking holy water and putting holy water on(continues on next page)- Collector
