   Then you twist the cord round the top. When this is you place the remainder of the cord between your third and little finger. It is kept in its place by a round piece of leather which is attached to the end of the cord and which rests on the third and little finger. You hold the top between your thumb and first finger and throw the top from you onto the ground about the length of the cord and so as to make it spin.

   The following are the games played around the school. Tig Hide and Seek, Corner's, Pookogue, Buttons, Coming to see poor Jenny and how is she now. I like playing Pookogue best of all. Sometimes we play it at the school and sometimes we play it in the following manner.
   We get nine or ten children to play then
