    To remove a wart - a snail was rubbed on the wart for nine days.
    For a sore throat, salt was roasted over the fire, tied in a very hot cloth, and put around the throat.
    Another cure for a sore throat was to tie your stocking that had come off your foot around it.
    Raw garlic eaten cured a cold
