    Clothes Made Locally
    20th May, 1938.
There are four tailors and six dressmakers in our district of Granard, Co. Longford. Formerly when people were getting new suits of clothes made the tailors would go around the various houses, and take their measure, and remain in their houses until the suits were made; they were all sewn by hand, as there were no machines then.
