- A cure for an ear ache. Boil the Cameline Daisy and drop the juice of it into your ear three times each day and after four or five days it (withers away) goes away. Michael Mullan, Ballyvade, Bunbrosna, Co. Westmeath. He is about sixty years of age.
- Cure for ring-worm. The seventh son Thomas Browne, Donore, Multyfarnham, Co. Westmeath has the cure of ring-worm. When he puts his thumb to it it goes away in a day.
- Cure for a cow with sore spins. Boil elder leaves and dab the juice on her spins. James Mac Loughlin, Ballyvade, Bunbrosna, Co. Westmeath. He is seventy eight years of age.
