  1. A certain man had two sons. He was a drunkard. The sons were ashamed of him and made up their minds to put a stop to drinking.
    On the mans way home from the public house he had to cross a plank over a river. One night when the man was gone his sons half cut the plank.
    When he was coming home he had a loaf for the first time. When he was walking over the plank it broke and let him down. He let a shout saying "God is good, but the Devil is not a bad lad either."
