    RIB-GRASS
    chopped fine and placed on a cut - will stop bleeding

    MARSH-MALLOWS and BUGLOSS ROOT
    boiled, and made into an ointment with lard - will cure running sores

    GLADUM LEAVES
    roasted and put around the neck will cure sore throats

    ASH-JUICE
    cure for earache. Ash sticks burned. Sap caught on tow, and put into ear.

    CAMOMILE
    boiled and mixed with bark - made with plaster - a cure for whittloe

    BOG-MOSS - SPHAGNUM
    washed and applied to wounds or sores - prevents them from becoming septic.

    SALLIES
    burned and ashes mixed with white of egg to make an ointment - cures ring-worm.

    SEA-WEED
    roasted and applied to face - cures toothache

    CHICKEN-WEED
    roasted and rubbed to face - is supposed to be another cure for toothache
