   SORE-THROAT

   salt roasted and rolled in a

   2) roasted gladum leaves rolled around neck

   
   TOOTHACHE

   poppies boiled and made into a plaster
   1) with lard applied to face
   2) roasted chicken - (?) applied to face
   3) a dead man's thumb rubbed on gum!
   4) roll a live frog in a piece of cloth - leaving one PAW out. Rub gun with paw -

   
   RING-WORM

   unsalted butter mixed with sulphur and applied

   1) and applied
   2) ointment made by burning sallies mixing ashes with white of egg
   3) go to two married people of the same name. - get the woman to rub gold wedding-ring on ringworm.

   
   CHILBLAINS

   1) put feet in water as warm as can be borne
   2) a slice of raw onion applied

   
   CORNS

   1) walk in wet-bog in bare feet
   2) bathe corns in bog-water
   3) bread soaked in vinegar
   4) ivy leaves steeped in vinegar

   
   JAUNDICE

   1) go to two married people of the same name - ask a piece of brown (?) bread - give to sick child to eat.
   2) get a piece of brown bread - from seventh son - or dactor (?): give to sick person to eat
