  1. Garlic, boiled in new milk, strained and sweetened cures a cold, and hoarseness.
    Mullin Leaves (Coughs or Consumption) Leaves boiled in milk, strained and sweetened.
    Thyme and Rosemary (Coughs) Boiled in water and sweetened,
    Black-currants (Cold, hoarseness) Boiled in water and sugar to make a syrup.
    Spikenard and Borage boiled supposed to cure nerves!!!
    Lettuce (Sleeplessness) eaten late at night
    Onions ( " ) Eaten raw last thing at night cures insomnia.
    A slice of raw onion applied to chilblain - a good cure.
    Docks (nettle sting) The juice of dock applied to nettle sting will cure it.
    Water-cress Purifies blood
    Dandelion Raw or boiled, a blood purifier
    In some places "Dandelion Tea" is made by boiling & straining juice of young dandelion leaves.
    Young nettles When they first appear they are sometimes boiled, and eaten as a blood purifier.
