- The following custom is still observed in this district on St. Stephen's Day. It is mostly boys that go around with the wren. They usually dress up in old clothes so that no one would know them. They usually have some musical instruments which are very often a mouth organ and a tambourine. Some wren-boys at present go around on bicycles and others go on foot. One of the boys plays the music and the rest dance. Nearly everybody gives them money. Then they divide it equally among themselves.(continues on next page)
