  1. There was a great storm on the 24th of Feb 1903. It was very strong and it blew down several things. There was a big wood in Clonyn and half of the trees were down the next morning. There were several houses blown down and there were several cattle, sheeep and lambs killed. The roofs of galvanised sheds were carried away and were found miles and miles away. There was a lot of destruction done to the farmers also. Their hay that they had in cocks in their yards was blown away on every side.
