- The storm of 1903 was one of the worst ever seen. It started around the end of February in that year. It was a wind storm. It blew down nearly half the tress of Clonyn. The roads were blocked for many days with fallen trees. It blew down cocks of hay and stacks of oats. My father says that it lifted a shed in his yard and it dropped it at the end of the garden about two hundred yards away.I myself remember the big snowstorm of 1933.
