    Master White that taught in it. He was an Irish man and he taught English as well as Irish. He was paid by the children. They used to bring him a penny a day. They wrote on a slate with a piece of stone. When the master would have nothing to do he would go to other peoples houses and teach children there. The people would give him good pay and keep him for the night. There used to be a good number of pupils going and there were very few books. The subjects taught were, Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic. Robert Smith now owns the field where the school was.
